Dale Dougherty is the founder of the Maker Faire concept and movement, which opened a significant chapter in the world of makers in 2006 with the first-ever Maker Faire event in San Mateo, California. Although maker culture wasn’t extensively discussed until then, the inaugural Maker Faire brought together over 20,000 visitors and immediately confirmed to Doughterty that he had truly initiated something grand and enduring!

We are honored to have had the opportunity to meet the father of the Maker Faire movement and hope to someday host him at Maker Faire Zagreb 😀
